FACT FILE: A-37 Orca
When the first prototype model of this vehicle rolled out of
the factory, the group of SFMC evaluators there to inspect it were unaware
that its two tone, black and white color scheme was an accident. They were
impressed by its capabilities and pleased with its potential, but everyone
liked the paint scheme. The machine operator, one Sigmund Orlando, was
complimented on his choice of color scheme for the prototype. Too embarrassed
to explain his mistake, he just nodded when one of the evaluators said
"She's big, powerful and predatory. What a stroke of genius to paint
her like an Orca." (Sigmund has since been promoted to Vice Director
of Development at Martian Metals, where he seems very happy unless you
ask him about the color scheme of his office.)

The Equipment Rating System
The preceeding descriptions of aerospace craft use a rating
system, rather than precise numbers. This is to simplify the factsheets,
and to make it easier to understand how each specific aerospace craft compares
to others. A value of zero (0) means none, while a value of 1 means minimal
and 10 means maximum within a given statistic.
