History: Fuji is a being of immense size and strength whose unstable molecular state is only controlled by his specially-made costume. Within the protective shrouding of his clothes, he's able to control his own density, but without it he would revert to a gaseous plasma state containing ultra-high levels of radioactive energy that would be lethal to anyone around him.
Fuli was nicknamed after the mountain by his schoolmates when a pubescent growth spurt caused him to tower above his friends and teachers. Trying to put his superhuman size to its best use, Fuji spent some time as a teenager on the Sumo wrestling circuit.
Fuji's family is one of the seven industrial clans in Japan that, among them, account for over 70% of the wealthy nations riches. Fuji's father, Yoshi Misawa, was a brilliant businessman, and the post war boom years enabled him to expand on the family's electronics, manufacturing, and shipping fortunes. He spent part of that fortune seeking a cure for his son's strange condition, only to be told that it was caused by the reaction of his son's genetic makeup to the strange cloud of radioactivity that swept past the Earth in the tail of a passing comet-the comet that nearly collided with the Monitor One Space Station-and irreversible.
When Fuji was activated by Stormwatch, his body, already generally unstable, de-stabilized completely. Quick thinking and a dedicated scientific staff were able to save his life, but only at the expense of living out the rest of his days within the confines of a special uniform.
Fuji has since had three different uniforms each giving him more strength than the last.
When Weatherman One recently reformed Stormwatch into three teams, Fuji was transferred from the now non-existent Stormwatch One into Stormwatch Prime .
