Week of: Dec. 14th, 1998

Sunday, Dec. 20th:

Wal-Mart east in Madison had about a half case of the Lobot wave this morning. It was almost noon when I got there so it is hard to tell if these were returns or the remains of a case. I'm pretty sure that they were returns since I didn't see a Luke Ceremonial, but who knows.

Saturday, Dec. 19th:

TRU west in Madison got in quite a few of the Darth Vader Gunner Stations this morning. There were about 8 of them at about 8:30am. (Dave P., I picked up one for you but the e-mail address that I have isn't working)

What figures will be made next year and what figures will be discontinued at the end of this year? These questions seem to be coming up more and more. To get a feel for what will be discontinued this year, I look to the mail in poster from Wal-Mart. I think that ALL of the figures on this poster will be discontinued. This includes the STAP with Battle Droid (single carded next year), Mace Windu (offer ends soon), Mynock Hunt (been out internationally for months), Han Taun Taun, all of the EU figures, and even the Falcon CD-ROM game. The only figures out now that are not on that poster are the Classic 8 figures, the Jedi Spirits & Cantina Aliens 3-packs, and the 3d Diorama with the Sandtrooper. I think everything else is done at the end of this year. Also, I remember seeing a post stating that Kenner has already stopped shipping these products and that the only ones left are those that are still in distribution and warehouses. Again this is a rumor, but the end of the year is only a few days away. The thing to note is that I wouldn't put off buying the discontinued items or else you risk situations like the Ree-Yees and DS Trooper where the prices are going through the roof. Most people have not figured out about the rest, yet.

Thursday, Dec. 17th:

I did a late night run last night after getting the e-mail from Jeff L. about the Cantina 3d Diorama. Wal-Mart east in Madison still had 3 of these left, but they were pretty banged up. I headed to the Wal-Mart in Sun Prairie to find 8 of them. I'm glad I didn't miss this since I have been buying quite a few figures to put in this diorama and the Jabba's Palace one.

I headed over to TRU east in Madison and found a 0004 case of EU figures. I now have the Darktrooper and Spacetrooper. It feels weird being so caught up right now, if only KB would get in the 12" Fett.

Hopefully the site is working correctly for everyone now. It seems that GeoCities had some sort of problem. I apologize and hope that it doesn't happen again.

Wednesday, Dec. 16th:

Jeff L. reports finding the Cantina 3d Diorama at Wal-Mart east in Madison. TRU east in Madison got in a .05 case of 3-packs having the Jabba's Dancers in it.

Hopefully some people are able to get to this site. It appears that GeoCities is having problems since I can't go to any site hosted by them.

Tuesday, Dec. 15th:

Kay Bee Toys east in Madison got in a case of the Classic 8 figures today. They will be getting another truck in on Thursday as well (no idea if there will be any Star Wars on it). Next week Kay Bee will be running a sale having beast packs and Epic figures at $7.99.

Give to Toys for Tots. Toys must be donated by Friday and you can drop them off at Shopko or Target (to name a few places).

Monday, Dec. 14th:

Jeff L. reports finding a case of the Classic 8 figures at Wal-Mart east in Madison this morning.

I finally got a digital camera and now have pictures up of My Collection.
