Monday in Allentown PA, Def Leppard beat 'ZZO 6-3! Dawn
and I almost made our friendship with Def Leppard! First,
I kicked the same soccer ball as it came toward me on the
sidelines... then Dawn wasn't watchin what was comin toward
us! Here comes the ball, here comes Phil and another 'ZZO
player headed right toward me! The camera missed the
action, but I turned to look just in time as Phil ran
smack into Dawn! He hugged her then said, "I needed a hug!"
After the game, 50 or so fans crowded the fenced area to
get Sav's autograph. I yelled to Dawn, "Stick your big
arm out there and get it signed!"
She went around the crowd and finally made it to Sav! He
signed her Euphoria CD cover then said, "That's the last one,"
then left.:-)
We followed the van to their Hotel. There in the lobby,
Dawn approached Phil, but she didn't have a pen!
I began filmin.
Then, I flipped the camera over and Phil watched in awe as
I got into the picture with both he and Dawn! While self-
recordin, I said, "Say Hi to Ruth and Dawn!"
Phil said, "Hi, hi, Ruth and Dawn,"
Say Hi to Margaret "Hi Margaret," Phil said.
Say Hi to Jennifer "Hi Jennifer," Phil said.
Say Hi to Julie "Hi Julie," Phil said.
Say Hi to Shelly "Hi Shelly," Phil said.
Then he went and borrowed a pen from another fan and signed
Dawn's Euphoria CD sleeve!
Then, I said for Dawn to go see Viv, but she said, "I don't
have a pen!"
Just then I was filmin Viv and he looked twice into the
camera, but was about to leave when Joe turned to walk
away from us as well...
I said, "Get Joe!" Then Joe turned around just in time
when Dawn stood beside him, both lookin expectantly. I
said, "I'm not takin a picture!"
Then I flipped the camera to get into view with Joe. I
said, "Say Hi to Jennifer, Julie and Shelly," and Joe said,
"Hi Jennifer, hi Julie, hi Shelly--bye Shelly!" and left!
Then a fan handed Dawn a pen for Joe to sign the Euphoria
CD sleeve as well. Viv seemed camera shy, and kinda turned
and walked away. Since Malvin politely asked us not to
come into the bar, we left--another satisfied fan!
