JAMIE LEE CURTIS

Jamie Lee Curtis was born on November 22 1958. She is the daughter of Tony Curtis and Janet Leigh (star of the horror classic Psycho). When her parents divorced Jamie Lee moved in with her mother who tried to raise her outside of the motion picture industry, however it was inevitable that sooner or later Jamie Lee would turn to acting, after all it's in her blood!.

John Carpenter's classic Halloween was the launching pad for Jamie Lee's carrier even though she was only paid $8,000 for her part in the movie. She followed this up with other horror movies such as Prom Night, The Fog and Terror Train. Soon Jamie Lee felt she was being type cast and tried her hand at other roles, in movies such as Trading Places, Grandview and USA. Finally in the 90's Jamie Lee broke into the major movies again with Ture Lies, My Girl and A Fish Called Wanda.

To the great relief of horror fans the original 'scream queen' is returning to her roots with the seventh part of the Halloween series. These slasher movies recieved renewed interest with Scream and IKWYDLS. So now the original scream queen is back to terrorfy a whole new generation of film goers.
