TRUST & GENEROSITY

WITH BATMAN AND FRIENDS

TRUST IS: assured reliance on the character, ability, strength, or truth of someone or something
GENEROSITY IS: the quality or fact of being generous

Batman holds the trust of gotham city in his hands. He fights crime and puts away villians that disturb the peace. If Batman didn't have the trust of all the citizens in Gotham his crime-fighting days would be over. He would not have a purpose to clean up the streets. If Batman ever misused the trust of the citizens he would probably be exiled and hated forever. Trust is a valuable thing and needs to be cared for like a life.
TRUST INFO:

Trust has declined in three out of four workplaces in the past two years, according to a survey conducted by Manchester Consulting, Jacksonville, Florida. The level of trust in the workplace received a rating of 5 ½ on a scale of 1 (poor) to 10 (excellent). "Trust in corporate America is at a low point," says Lew Stern, Senior Vice President.

TRUST ACTIVITIES:
Suggested activities to promote "trustworthiness," one of the six universal pillars of character: Tell a secret to someone and see if that person can keep it. When a parent asks you to stay home and clean, let them trust you to do that. Promise your mom/dad that you will clean your room before the end of the week and do it. Work a puzzle together as a family. Blindfold each other and take a "trust" walk; use other senses for clues. Have a "kids only" garage sale (give each child the chance to choose which of their belongings they would like to sell, then give them the labels to price them; make sure everybody's responsibilities are clear before the day starts divide up the proceeds and encourage each child to save their money).

GENEROSITY
As Bruce Wayne, Batman's real identity, he is a millionaire that loves to give to charity. Bruce Wayne has generously given money towards the buildings of hospitals, City Hall, Libraries and other significant buildings. He takes great joy in using his money to make children and the poor happy. He does this without regret or force, but out oof the goodness of his heart.
