The Division Service Emblem is a composite of both the
Starfleet Security insignia, and the abbreviation for Special Service's
Division. The Starfleet Security insignia is made up of both a shield,
representing safety and justice within the Federation, and the regualr
Starfleet insignia signiyfying the fact that Starfleet Security upholds
the values and guidelines outlined by Starfleet. The letters placed on
the Security insignia are of the same typeface used in LCARS display terminals.
Typically, this emblem is used in the field and on weapons, starships and
other supplies.
