One day Mulder had a terrible bellyache.  He vomited again and again, and he did not want
to eat anything, not even sunflower seeds. 

Mulder said he felt fine but Scully said he had acute appendicitis. She took him to the hospital
herself, to make sure that he didn't accidentally go to Antarctica.

The emergency room doctor did horrible things to Mulder, like push on his sore tummy and
put a needle in his arm. Then the doctor used a slippery glove to do something else. Mulder
did not like this at all.  He whimpered bravely while Scully held his hand.

Mulder had to have an operation. Scully wanted to help but they made her sit outside in a
chair. When Mulder woke up after the operation he told Scully that he loved her.  Scully
paid the anesthesiologist the extra fifty bucks she had promised him.  Skinner came to
visit Mulder and brought him  pretty flowers.
