This timeline is intended for use with the GURPS: Tales of Lassane campaign. It is my own creation, and copyrighted thusly. Really, people, why are you going to steal my timeline?

This timeline is subject to change at any time, since it is part of a changing, dynamic world. As time progresses, changes will be made accordingly.

Note on years: FE, or "Fall of the Elders," marks the passage of time from the end of the War of the Gods up until the Elder Races vanishing from the world. It is pieced together from old records, and is likely to be inaccurate. The current calendar uses IY ("Isian Year").

The Elder Races

0750FE - The approximate time that the War of the Gods ends. Karla, goddess of Light, and Kana, goddess of Darkness,
have their last battle along Lassane's western coast. Kana, before dying, curses magic in the world to die.
Karla, unable to reverse the curse, retreats from the world. Kana's army of Kur'Grath retreat overseas, to
what will later be called the Forbidden Islands.

0650FE - The first "dead zone" (an area or location where magic no longer functions) appears in eastern Lassane. The
dead zone causes a type of butterfly to die off, which causes the plant that fed on it to die, which causes
the water that the plant thrived in to become highly acidic, which kills off everything in the surrounding
area. The land south of the dead zone becomes highly toxic, and is renamed the Badlands.

0500FE - The destruction of the Dysian Islands. An unknown disaster occurs in the Dysian Islands, obliterating much of
the life there and making the islands uninhabitable.

0400FE - Dead zones now compromise %20 of Lassane's geography. Drastic reduction in mana levels also appear throughout
the continent, especially in the northern lands.

0375FE - The increasing drop in magic levels creates widespread panic throughout Lassane. Many races begin searching
for means to prolong magic, while others begin looking for alternate sources.

0150FE - The founding of the Lyceum in Thalen, as a repository of knowledge both arcane and mundane.

0130FE - The beginning of the Exodus. Over the next century, many of the Elder races begin to disappear, leaving behind
vast ruins. Where they have gone is still unknown.

0059FE - Panic throughout Lassane grows, and fights begin to break out all over the continent between the remaining
Elders. Much of the continent is ruined by the war. One place unaffected by the chaos is the newly founded
         kingdom of Theodrin.

0054FE - The founding of Gimas.

0053FE - The founding of Sarther, Walere, and Tunes.

0051FE - Hewnon is founded.

0050FE - The founding of Pannet.

0024FE - The main religion of Lassane, the Bringers of Light, are founded after a prophet foretells the return of the
Twin goddesses. The Bringers of Light establish themselves in Maun.
       - The Cult of the Tree is established in Rhod, Theodrin. Over the next few centuries, the Cult becomes
         progressively crueler in their methods.

0019FE - The Lyceum in Thalen is burned. Nearly all of the information and history contained is damaged beyond
         redemption.

0003FE - The last of the Elders leave Lassane.

The Present Age:

0027IY - The Bringers of Light institute a new calendar, using the Fall of the Elders as the starting point.

0053IY - The "Crimson Thaw." The Shev, a hitherto unheard of race of humans, raid the western coasts of Hewnon and
Gimas. This event, and all subsequent occurrences, are called the Crimson Thaw because they always occur
         during the spring.

         to do much except grumble.
       - Several towns in Hewnon are attacked by unknown sources. The attacks are blamed on Theodists.

0198IY - Current Year
       - The Shev grow bolder and more devastating in their raids. Small bands of the barbarians are now sighted as far
         inland as Balam.
       - Hewnon, hit hardest by the Shev raids, sends out a call of for soldiers. Maun refuses.
       - Rumors spread of an army gathering in Theodrin.
       - Walere closes off its borders to trade, enforcing their withdrawal with armed forces. (June)
