Tales of Lassane
The Kurg:
The Kurg are a violent race of orcs, descended from the Elder Kur'Grath. During the War of the Gods, the Kur'Grath were aligned with Kana and, when she died, they fled west to the islands of Ar'Bathladar and Midronath (present: The Forbidden Isles). Over the course of the centuries, the Kur'Grath have evolved, becoming larger and more feral, and their name has changed to the Kurg. Occasionally, Kurg can be found in Isian as well, but as slaves. Little else is known about them.
Kurgs are tall (seven feet is common), with very thick and muscular bodies. They have green skin, yellow or red eyes, and sparse, wiry black hair covering their entire bodies. Their faces are flat, with broad-noses and tusks that protrude from their bottom jaw. They also have claws: talons on each hand that are usually kept sharp for combat purposes.
Kurgs are not allowed to be PCs.
Elemental Spirits:
Through Isian spirits tied to certain elements can be found. Invisible to normal humans, these magical creatures can be called upon by those that know the right methods, and can be commanded to perform simple tasks. Some examples:
Sylphs: These air spirits are tied to the wind. They are mischievous, flighty, and very vain. Sylphs vaguely resemble human women, no larger than a man's hand, with blue skin and hair. They give off a pale blue light.
Salamanders: Tied to fire, salamanders resemble small four-legged lizards with red hides and bright blue eyes. Like fire, they are unpredictable and are just as likely to burn their summoner as help him, depending on their mood.
Undine: Water spirits. Like Sylph, undine vaguely resemble small women, only instead of blue, they are variations of sea-green. Undine can be hard to find, but once they start a task, they won't stop until it's finished.
Gnomes: Earth spirits. Small, brown creatures that vaguely resemble men, gnomes can move through the earth rapidly, traveling hundreds of leagues in a few minutes. However, most of them are so thick-headed that you may have to tell them what to do a couple of times before they get it.
There are others, but the four listed above are the major ones.
