Tales of Lassane
Economy

The economy of Tales of Lassane is based upon barter, and the relative worth of precious minerals, metals, and gems.

The currency is coin-based. Isian coins are roughly the size of a U.S. quarter. The worth of an individual coin is dependent upon the type of metal from which it is made. All coins weigh approximately 1/250th of a pound, and there are 250 coins to a pound. (B190) Therefore, it is the worth of the coin that generates the buying power, and it gives all money in Tales of Lassane an equivalent value, regardless of where it was minted.

In many places coins are plain, with minimal markings. (As long as it weighs what it's supposed to, nobody really cares about how it looks.) Most coins are stamped with an image of the ruler from where they originated.
