Tales of Lassane
When Karla, goddess of Light, disappeared from Isian, it was prophesied that she would one day return and lead the world to a new place, a land where Darkness would not exist. But, only those loyal to Karla would be able to go. Thus the Bringers of Light were established, to guide people to the Light, so they will be chosen when Karla returns.
The Church of the Light is the major religion in Isian. It's followers, the Bringers of Light, can be found throughout nearly the entire continent. The main church is located in the City of Light, Holy City Maun. The current Praetor, Bowie Arms, lives there, and the city is also the host home to the Army of Light, fifteen hundred heavily trained elite forces.
The Lightbringers (a name which really irritates them) despise the Theodist Cult, and have been in an "unofficial" war with them since their creation. Since neither side has a distinct advantage, full-scale religious war has been avoided, but the stalemate is tenuous at best...

*There are two types of Clerics: those who can use magic and those that cannot. Those that cannot use magic are trained more in the martial arts.
A novice in the Church is usually a young boy or girl, 8-10 years in age. They live at the Church, attend classes, and generally receive a basic, all-around education (how to read, write, mathematics, theology, etc.).
A novice becomes an adept at age 15 (after puberty), and it is then that they are assigned their specialization according to what they are best suited for. Children with magical talents (or less than perfect physics) are trained more in the healing and academic arenas. Physically inclined youths are trained in the martial arts.
After several years of study, an adept becomes a Cleric, gaining all social statuses accorded to them by their new rank. The average Cleric is 20 years old.
There is only one Praetor, and he chooses who is to succeed him.
To be a Lightbringer:
ST 11+, IQ 11+, Clerical Rank 3 (+15), Military Rank 1+, Patron (+20), Cannot Harm Innocents (-10), Duty (-15), Vow of Sobriety (-1), Vow of Celibacy (-5), Leadership, Strategy-9, Survival (any), Tactics-9, Theology(Bringers of Light), and one combat/weapon skill at 12 or DX+1, whichever is higher.
If playing a non-magical Cleric: ST 12+, any two combat/weapon skills at 12 or DX+1, whichever is higher, Combat Reflexes
If playing a magical Cleric: Clerical Magic (varies, see below), Power Investiture 2 (+20)
Clerical Magic:
Because they are allied with Karla, Clerics can learn spells from any college (Healing, plus one Specialization) (+12). However, they cannot learn any destructive spells or elemental creations. (They can still summon elementals, but they cannot control them!) They can also get up to a +3 bonus to all healing rolls. (+2/level)
Because Bringers of Light are (generally) well-respected everywhere they go, their CR based reactions are doubled while they are in friendly lands.
