Update

An Update from the Storytellers



CORRECTIONS & MODIFICATIONS:

* We changed our minds.  You no longer lose freebies for subsequent
characters.  You will get 15 freebies whether it's your second character
or your tenth.  NOTE that this is because we want a game with high
character turnover.  We would like to see people come as PLAYERS to enjoy
taking part in a story line, rather than have people show up to get that
2-3 XP needed to buff up one character.  We'll all have a lot more fun if
everyone is willing to dive into a story, and throw fears of character
death to the wind.  

* You may take ONE extra Beast Trait *AND* ONE extra Derangement at
chargen, for a total of 4 extra building points.  NOTE that any
combination of 5 leads to character psychosis and loss of said character.
This means 4 Beast Traits and 1 Derangement, 3 Derangements and 2
Beast Traits, etc.  If you've got 5 TOTAL, your character is nuts.  Still,
we'll probably have you play it out...running around growling and
slobbering until the other PCs get annoyed and put you out of their
misery.  So, THAT could be fun, anyway.  

* All right, go ahead and form pre-game alliances and/or hatreds.  We know
of a number of you who have done it already, anyway.  Just make sure
everything is accounted for in character histories...

THINGS TO THINK ABOUT

* There will be a lot of NPC groups, though they won't dominate any story
lines.  We're looking for volunteers.  Ideally, each player will have an
NPC and a PC that they can shift between (though never more than 3-4
player NPCs running around at a time).  Groups include:
	+ Mafia
	+ Mortal hunters
	+ Street gangs
	+ Anarchs
	+ Police & assorted other fuzz
	+ Influential mortals (mayor, congressmen, big businessmen, etc.)
	+ Shallow expendable NPC antagonists
	+ ...and much, much more...
If you're interested in any of the above, let us know. 

* As mentioned above, there will probably be high character turnover.  If
anybody has problems with that, better let us know soon.  Note that it
won't be mindless slaughter, though.  We're not going to walk up to you
and say, "sorry, dude, the hunters found you this afternoon and took you
for a walk in the park without your sunblock...you're dead.  Thanks for
advancing the plot!"  Characters will die ONLY through fair IC means, with
a GUARANTEE of one or two ways to get out of it, if they're slick.
Remember, the focus is on FUN.
