Humans:
Average height is 6'. They are the standard race used when making racial modifiers. They have no modifiers. They are the most prolific race of higher thinking beings (no comment from the elves!) on the earth at this time because they have had a head start. Most humans are still close minded, ignorant, prejudicial hypocrites that think non-human races are inferior and strange.
Elves:
Average height 5'. Elves have vision similar to a cats. They cannot see in absolute dark but have very good nightvision. In bright light, their color spectrum diminishes making them nearly color blind (Note, for everything you get, there is usually a price). They are thin and agile. They tend to be more dexterous than other races and have an innate ability for magic. This ability also makes them more susceptible to its use (in case you forgot, look at the last note). They have the trademark pointy ears which gets them plenty of ridicule from non-eleves. Elves tend to favor natural settings because the cities are dominated by humans.
Dwarves:
Average height 4'. Dwarves have infra-vision giving them the ability to see heat signatures. Sunlight not only reduces their vision but is also physically painful. Dwarves that venture out into the sun all wear shades to protect their eyes. Dwarves tend to be very strong and healthy. They tend to be less adept at magic but are more resistant to it's effects than other races. Dwarves tend to favor underground settings for the same reason elves like natural settings.
Aquasapiens:
Average height 5'. Aquasapiens are water dwelling beings but they can survive on land as well with a little special treatment of course. Aquaspiens can breathe under water through gills on the sides of their necks. These gills are susceptible to dryness however. On land the Aquasapiens must take great care in keeping these gills moisturized and their skin must also be kept moist. Although most Aquasapiens do not have a desire to be on dry land there is always a few black sheep in the crowd. Which makes Aquasapiens rare, almost mythical as far as the other races are concerned.
