Wow...it's 2004 and in several weeks it'll be 2005. How time flies when you forget the password to your own website. Well, I finally found it the other day, so I guess it's time I updated this thing a bit...Somehow, I've managed to rack up about 14,000 or so hits to this site. Not to shabby, but not so terrific, either. Honestly, I can't believe that many people have actually seen it, although....had this been a real comic book instead of a website....it would've been cancelled ages ago due to lack of sales.
I started this thing back in '97 or '98. I thought it was pretty hot stuff back then, but now there are so many talented artists on the internet, this thing just looks amateurish to me. See the little JavaScript Date-Time-Calender thing above? Man, I thought that was cool! Back then, I didn't have Adobe PhotoShop to do anything really cool, and I didn't have a scanner to scan in my artwork. So I played around with the Paint package that came with Windows 95. Everything you see here, I drew with a regular mouse with the Paint package that came with Windows 95, and that's probably the only thing I can point to with pride, because that's pretty primitive stuff and some of t he drawings are decent.
Hi, my name is George Brycki, and I hope you have enjoyed my webpage. If you have, please, by all means, tell a friend or two about it. All images and stories are copywrited and on file with the Library of Congress.
On this particular page, I hope to answer any questions you may have regarding how I created some of the images here. Mainly, I use the simple Paint Package that comes free with Windows '95. I find it to be pretty darn versitile. On a few pieces I used Adobe PhotoShop as well as Paint Shop Pro. Paint Shop Pro is a great little graphics package, and although not as versitile as Adobe, it IS a heck of a lot cheaper in price.
The logos on my page were created in Microsoft Word, using the WordArt function. Again, some nice results can be had with some simple stuff.
My background is in cartooning and illustration, with a wide variety of other boring graphics and design work. A great deal of my stuff has appeared in national ad campaigns in newspapers, magazines, and even television. Keep checking back now and again, as this is just the tip of the iceberg. I plan on adding much more art and stories, as well as some of my comic book work, with some animation thrown in for good measure.
Well, that's all for now. I sincerely want to thank you for giving me so much of your valuable time. I appreciate it more then words can say. Stop back often, and bring a friend.
Thank you, and may God Bless.
George Brycki
