Who Is Studebaker Hoch???

A Very Brief Bio

Studebaker Hoch is originally from Reseda, CA (although usually he just says "Somewhere south of here, I think"), and currently he is a student at UC Santa Barbara, living in the cosy town of Isla Vista. He graduated from Reseda HS 'way back in 1991, joined the Marines(!) shortly thereafter, and worked in retail for a while once he got out. He was also a tele-survey phone operator, but since they are such annoying bastards he quit after just one day. He has been studying alot of random stuff, having been an Environmental Studies major his 1st year, Pharmacology his 2nd. As of this writing, he's looking at his 3rd year as a Computer Science major (then again, maybe not). Studebaker is in the habit of telling people that he's in college to learn, not get a degree (?huh?). But don't get him started, he's got this long, fanatical speech rehearsed about the system, commodification of culture, the decline of knowledge and imagination, the failure of education, public apathy and situational ethics, nonconformity (and the unfortunate lack thereof), the decay of the western empire, etc., etc., ad infinitum, ad absurdum.
Some of the other nobby stuff he's interested in: hiking and camping, playing (re:struggling with) the keyboard, writing (although very very little, judging by his output), Red Dwarf, Taoism, hittin' the beach, bein' weird and knowin' weird people! What can we say??
