needs: -salt, wine, water, candle(x2, to represent the God and Goddess)
- 1) Sprinkle salt on the floor and stand on it, lighting the candles. Let the warmth of the candles be absorbed into the body. Mix the water into the wine, meditating upon the reasons for performing the Self blessing. Read the following aloud: « Bless him, Mother, for he is Thy child.»
- 2) Dip the fingers of the right hand into the mixt water and wine and anoint the eyes,say aloud:
« Blessed be his eyes, that he may see Thy path.»
Anoit the nose, aloud:
« Blessed be his nose, that he may breathe Thy essence.»
Anoit the mouth, aloud:
« Blessed be his mouth, that he may speak of Thee.»
Anoit the breast, aloud:
« Blessed be his breast, that he may be faithful in Thy works.»
Anoit the loins, aloud:
« Blessed be his loins, which bring forth the life of man as Thou has brouht forth all creation.»
Anoit the feet, aloud:
« Blessed be his feet, that he may walk Thy ways.»
- Remain...and meditate for a while.
- 3) The representant of the Goddess, who perform the blessings, prays the Goddess while the blessed-to-be is meditating. When he can feel her (Goddess) inside him, in perfect union with his soul, he puts his hand on the forehead of the blessed-to-be. Say:
« Ô Mother, bless him by the intermise of my hand;
Ô Mother, bless this being (n.n.), who is also knowed as (n.n.), for I am (name of the representant), the White One.
Ô Mother, bless him by the intermise of my hand, for he is in need.
He is in need of wisdom to understand (purposes of the ritual).
Ô Mother, bless him by the intermise of my hand, for I am (name), the White One.»
