The poem I selected for my thesis is entitled "Into Blindness". It is set after the shooting of Donny Pfaster in "Orison", and is written from Mulder's point of view as he reacts to the events of the episode.

when you found me you were blind
to the horror of my world.
i could tell by the warmth of your smile,
the unfeigned honesty in your eyes.
you could not stare in fear at what i was,
at the dark chaos of my mind.
your faith had yet to be scarred
by the likes of me.
