Number one supplier of Pre-Rifts artifacts and weaponry, Golden Age
Weaponsmiths has made the American Empire city of Norfolk, Virginia its main
base of operations. In 85 P.A., a reconnaissance team from GAW's headquarters in
Huntsville, Alabama discovered a large number of concrete bunkers in and around
the old Norfolk Naval Station in northern Virginia. Quickly realizing the gold
mine they had found in Norfolk, they proceeded to fortify the area and ship in a
large number of engineers and operators to excavate the buried bunkers. When it
was discovered that many of the factories, drydocks, and shipdocks were also
still relatively intact, the decision was made to expand the operation. With the
help of the Coalition, Golden Age Weaponsmiths proceeded to build a massive
barrier wall around the entire city of Norfolk. This wall incorporated a series
of canal locks at the Chesapeake Bay to enable the city to control the water
level inside of its perimeter. Upon completion of the wall and locks, GAW
proceeded to use the lock system to lower the water level of the bay to its
Pre-Rifts levels. Now above water for the first time in hundreds of years, the
riches of Norfolk are easily accessable and ready for use by GAW. In their
contract with the CS, Golden Age has agreed to sell all warships recovered from
Norfolk to the Coalition. They are also guaranteed the rights to anything else
recovered from any other USN depot. With this exclusive contract and its trade
agreements with its neighbors, Golden Age Weapons has made a name for itself as
the number one weapons dealer on the East Coast.
