Arion was appointed head of the Polytechnic order 4 years ago when the then Lord Knight, Declan Smith, decided to go into semi-retirement. A no nonsense leader, Arion frowns on excesses and over-exuberances. For the many years since he became an Errant Knight, Arion has advocated a more active response to the threat of Prometheorg. After becoming Lord Knight, he has made every effort to make his Order ready for the conflict to come.

Previous Lord Knight of the Polytechnic Order, Declan decided to go into semi-retirement and teach the new generations of Knights. While he has a serious personality, he is nowhere near as serious as Arion. He does believe that some levity is needed in life, and he tries to make his students see that as well.

Dark in mood as he is in complexion, Jeremy serves as a teacher because it has been asked of him. Probably the best swordmaster the Order has ever produced, Jeremy's combined style of O Ken Wa, Kendo, and several other sword-fighting techniques has made him the premier teacher for the school.

One time apprentice of Jeremy Bentancourt, J.J., as he is called, heads the Sword and Measure, a company of Knights. His company is made up of knights from all three Orders. Numbering at about 30 knights, the Sword and Measure handles those jobs too large for a platoon of soldiers, but too small for an army of Knights.

Elected Lord Knight by his fellow Knights during the Siege of Columbia, Peter has led the City Order for 15 years. Nearly losing his eye to a Terrine mono-sword has colored Peter's outlook on Baltimore's foreign policy. He believes that Baltimore should aggressively deal with ARMOR, instead of the policy of containment and sabotage that Baltimore is currently engaged in. When not fulfilling the duties of his office, Peter can be found patroling the watch stations along the border with the ARMOR City-States.

Westerbrook is one of the oldest serving Knights in any of the three Orders. While he doesn't campaign anymore with the various companies, he does manage to get field time when he takes the squires out for their wilderness survival training. While they see these trips as a grueling ordeal, Westerbrook sees it as a time to capture interesting specimens.

Rising star of the City Order, Veronica first showed her potential during the Siege of Columbia when her actions allowed a company of Columbian troops to retake the northwest gate of the Mending Wall. She has served in several other actions since then that have more than made her qualified to be designated as heir to the Lord Knight position.

A no nonsense kind of Knight, Martin Ryan has led the St. Francis Order for almost 20 years, with no signs of tiring of the job.

Jose is one of those rare St. Francis Knights who is unable to form either a Psi-Sword or a Psi-Shield. However, he off-sets that lack by being a Master Psionic and Shifter, and wielding the Rune sword Chiyaa. This up and coming knight has the potential to be the future Lord Knight of his Order.
