"This is taking too long..." Sherra stomped her foot on the ground. "This is definitely taking too long..." Sherra sighed.
She went over to the lavatory and picked up a bucket, then she filled it with ice-cold tap water. Dynast didn't care much about heating so water was just a little above the freezing point. She approached her newly acquired toy who was restrained by a pair of chains hanging from the ceiling. At the moment the chains were holding her in upright position. Sherra had put on her two bracelets made with Shadow stones given to her by Agaroth in exchange of his life after she had threatened to kill him for telling everybody that she hadn't sleep with any man until she met Val. The material made sure the girl would not be able to use any magic as long as she wore them. Sherra didn't want her toy to get away, now, did she?...
SPLASH
Amelia coughed. She was soaked and was freezing. She opened her eyes, the last trace of sleep disappearing upon realizing she was a prisoner. She looked up and saw she was hanging from the ceiling. She looked down and realizing her feet touched the ground, she stood up, taking the strain of her arms.
Sherra smiled at her toy and said, "I was starting to wonder if you were never going to wake up again."
Dynast's general walked towards the fireplace and held an iron staff into the fire.
"Such a pity about you friend." she said as she moved some carbon in the fire with the staff.
"Friend?" asked Amelia, her voice could almost not be heard because of her dry throat.
Amelia needed something to drink or at to eat for that matter she hadn't had anything to eat or drink since last day's breakfast. She didn't even know how much time had passed since then.
"Yes. If I heard right her name was Gracia." said Sherra as she turned her amusement filled face to look at Amelia.
"You killed her!! You - "
"Na, na, na." Sherra smiled evilly, "you don't want to spoil the fun, do you?"
Sherra moved the now red-hot staff out of the fire and walked towards Amelia. Amelia tried to free herself by force but the chains held her back. Sherra could feel her fear as she walked towards her with the staff in her hand. Amelia tried to free herself on more time, but this time using magic. To her surprise she couldn’t cast a single spell. Sherra held the staff under her nose.
Amelia felt the heat spreading from it, she began to sweat, her eyes fixed on the staff. Suddenly Sherra made a quick movement and touched her toy's left arm with the staff. Amelia felt the pain flow through her body causing her to close her eyes and to scream the pain out. Sherra lifted the staff from Amelia's arm and giggled, where the burning staff had touched her skin a bright red mark could be seen. Sherra looked very satisfied with herself as she walked back to the fireplace once more holding the staff into the fire. Amelia opened her eyes and looked angry at the Mazoku yet she did not cry, years of sorrow and need had taught her that physical pain was not worth wasting her energy on.
"Now where was I? Ah, yes...your friend... well , as I was saying , it's really a shame she had to die and all because of you." said the Sherra with amusement as she walked back to her toy, "it's not very nice to die by a fireball that size."
She placed the glowing point of the staff on Amelia's other arm. Amelia hissed, but her pride would not let her cry out again, she would not give that bitch that pleasure. Sherra looked at her a little disappointed before she returned to the fireplace. She moved the coals in the fire, it would not be fun if it cooled down.
"Magic fire doesn't just burn the outside, magic fire spreads through the skin carbonizing it till it reaches the bones." Sherra continued. She traced a burning line from Amelia's knee to her ankle setting her clothing partly on fire, but the fire didn't last long since she was still soaked. Amelia started to shake not from fear or pain, but from cold, it was so damn cold, even though she had burning marks all over herself by now and there was a fireplace in the room. Sherra had hung her near the open window and the freezing wind from the North Pole kept the temperature near her down.
"...After some minutes the burning makes it difficult to breath, your friend probably started coughing." Sherra said as she put the staff aside and drew her sword, "and after some more minutes of agony the person chokes to death."
Sherra made a little cut on Amelia's cheek and watched the blood run down.
Gracia is dead... That Mazoku killed her... Not again! Not again!! Amelia was fading into unconsciousness, images of the death of her parents echoing in her mind intermingled with the scenes of Gracia's death. Amelia saw her house go up in flames, her parents trapped inside because the Mazoku had sealed all the exits. She heard her parents scream pain and fear reflected in their voices, she wanted to help them tell them that she was going to save them, but Gracia held her mouth shut as she carried her away into the woods.
Then she saw Gracia throw her out of the way of the fireball. If I hadn't interfered, if I had run away! Gracia had died to protect her. It was all my fault... No... it was also that blue haired bitch's fault.
Sherra saw tears roll down the girl’s cheeks and mixed themselves with the blood already there. What a feast she was getting out of these girl's emotions.
"Common. don't get unconscious on me now! I'm just starting to have fun!" she shock the girl back into the waking world and was just about to gloat on her for crying when the door flung open.
A spiky black haired man who looked around 16 or 17 stood in the door. He was wearing black pants and a white shirt with a cape over it. His right hand was in the pocket of his pants.
"My general, I've got a task for you to do." the man said his voice echoing in the room, "I want you to bring this to Garv" he held a small glowing ball in his left hand.
My general? Wondered Amelia
"Can't Kolary do it?" asked Sherra, she hated it when someone interrupted her when she was about to get serious.
Uh uh...that girl is a Mazoku general? How the hell will I get out of this alive? Wondered Amelia staring at Sherra.
"She is not here." he said, his voice made Amelia shudder, his green eyes were fixed on Sherra.
"But..." Sherra wanted to protest then her mind reminded her to she was actually talking to, "As you wish my lord."
'My lord'? wondered Amelia as she looked at the mysterious man in the door, ...'general'...'my lord'...I'm dead.. I'm dead.. I'm dead.. Or I'll soon be wishing I was... nobody who has ever seen a Dark Lord in person ever lives to tell about it... I wonder which one he is...
"Good!" said the Dark Lord as he let the small ball float towards Sherra and started to leave. He then stooped once more.
"And Sherra..." he said not turning towards her.
"Yes, my lord?"
"Don't let your little friend hanging there if you don't want Kolary to play with her like she did with your last one."
Amelia saw the man vanish in the darkness of the hallway before the door closed by itself. Amelia then turned her attention to the woman in front of her.
Sherra leaned on her sword as she examined the ball her master had just given her. The best way to get a message to Garv was to give it either to his general or priest. And Sherra would not willingly meet Mia, Garv's general, ever, that girl was positively annoying. So she would give the message to Val ... Val ... Val was fun, but so was her new toy. Then a brilliant idea crossed her mind: why not take her toy with her to Val, that way she could have Val *and* her toy.
"I'm so intelligent sometimes I amaze myself." she said.
Amelia didn't even want to find out what she meant by that.
