The Humans...:
Rezo Akahoshi:
Age: unknown
Rezo looks like a 28 years old man. He has short red-purple hair and
blue eyes. He left 20 years ago on a quest leaving his grandson, who he
turned into a chimera to protect him, with his trusted friend Luna Inverse.
Every now and then Luna gets a letter from him, but he never actually tells
her about his actions.
Aishan:
Age: 32
Aishan has short brown hair and blue eyes. She came to Kayless about
8 years ago already pregnant with Edele. She doesn't like to talk about
her past and especially about Edele's father. Aishan works at the garden
together with Alas who she's friends with.
Edele:
Age: 8
She's Aishan's 8 year old daughter and was born in Kayless. She has
long spiky light-brown hair which she usually has in a pigtail and amethyst
eyes. She isn't very talkative. She likes to help together with Yalemar
in the gardens when her mother is working there. She doesn't know anything
about her father because her mother doesn't like talk about him, so Edele
decided not to ask, if her mother wanted her to know she would tell her
when the time was right. The only thing that was ever told to her about
him is that her abilities for Black Magic came from him. For some her unknown
reason she has great difficulties dominating White Magic but none with
the other defensive and attack magic. She thinks that the identity of her
father is one of the secrets her mother is trying to keep from her together
with Luna who seems to be the only person besides her mother to know something
about him...
Eris:
Age: 25
Eris has short spiky black hair and brown eyes. She was born
in the city at the sea, where her parents still live, there she met Tires
and when she came to help in Kayless they moved in together. Eris is very
skilled in white magic and helps Sylpheel at the infirmary.
Fesis:
Age: 46
Fesis has long white hair and pale blue eyes. She has been in Kayless
since it was founded and has taken it onto herself to keep the city clean,
and incredibly it works most of the time. Fesis is never seen without her
broom though some people speculate that she must know magic to keep Kayless
in order.
Ayla Gabriev:
Age: 15
She has shoulder-length blond hair and blue eyes. She's Gourry little
sister and completely idiolices her big brother. She ignores the fact that
her brother is a little dense and is usually the one to explain complicate
things to him. Ayla lives with her parents in Kayless since she was born,
so Kayless is the only home she knows. Ayla is in charge of the children
in the city when their parents are busy, a kind of all purpose babysitter.
Gourry Gabriev:
Age: 26
He is a young man with short blond hair that falls on the right side
of his face hiding it. He has blue eyes and is the current owner of one
of Dark Star weapons: the Sword of Light. He's not very smart but
he would risk his own life to save the ones he cares for. Gourry has a
younger sister who's very patient with him and explains him everything
as long as it takes until he understand it. His family has always been
living in cities that were part of the resistance therefore when Kayless
was build his family came to help and since then he lives there with his
sister and parents. When Gourry was about 18 one of the cities he was visiting
with his family was attacked. He lost his right eye trying to save his
mother. After the death of his grand father Gourry' father inherited
the Sword of Light, but he doesn't like to use weapons so he gave it to
Gourry.
Mr.(Gourry) and Ms.(Eliana) Gabriev:
Age: 52 and 46
Mr. Gabriev has short light brown hair and blue eyes and his wife has
long blond hair with green eyes. Mr. Gabriev is an architect and he developed
the concept of the underground city. He is constantly helping to improve
the living conditions of the rebels and his masterpiece was the invention
of the underground gardens that have kept Kayless alive till now.
Ms. Gabriev is a very happy person who doesn't lose her spirit even
though there is a war going on. The Gabrievs love their children above
everything else and give them all the freedom they could ever want.
Zelgadis Greywords:
Age: 24
Zelgadis has short light purple hair which is very difficult to comb
and blue eyes, besides all the weird characteristics that come from being
chimera: blue skin, little rocks all over his body...But being a chimera
is what has kept him alive so far, giving him extra abilities like superhuman
strength and speed. He was raised by Luna Inverse together with Lina and
doesn't remember much about his life before he came to live in Kayless
20 years ago. He is Lina's best friend and 'the voice of her conscience'
always trying to keep her out of trouble and not always succeeding. Zelgadis
is in charge of preserving and analyzing the books kept in Kayless' library,
one of the few that still exist.
Luna Inverse:
Age: 1025
Luna Inverse is the Knight of Cephied and the head of the resistance
against the Mazoku. She might be one of the oldest persons in Kayless,
but she still looks like 20 thanks to the power of Cephied. After her mother
died 20 years ago giving birth to her sister Lina, she took her mothers
place as Knight of Cephied and raised her sister along with Rezo's grandson
Zelgadis, since Rezo and her had been very good friends for a long time.
Many people can't understand her brother-sister relation with Xellos Metallium,
but she doesn't care about what they think, afterall he has saved many
lives during the time they have been friends. Around her neck she wears
the Demonblood-Stone Xellos gave her. Like her 'brother' she keeps many
secrets...
Lina Inverse:
Age: 20
Lina has short fiery red hair and matching red eyes. She's Luna's little
sister and sees her more like her mother than a big sis. Lina's best friend
is Zelgadis. Lina has great abilities in magic like most of her family
members and she has concentrated more on Black Magic than on the other
branches, eventhough she can handle them as well. When Lina isn't losing
her temper and fireballing someone for some reason she works as waitress
in the cafeteria of Kayless. She eats like no one else and that causes
Liah to forbid her to enter the kitchen because she's always trying to
steal something to eat.
Kary:
Age: 7
Kary is a long black haired girl and has green eyes. She is very loud
and has a very short temper, so she is always getting involved in fights
and Ayla is responsible for breaking them up.
Kaery:
Age: 28
She has short black hair and black eyes. She came to Kayless two years
ago. She lived in Elwingil and worked for Martina and Zangulus as guide
through the tunnels in the mountains, but was send by them to Kayless because
one of the guides from Kayless had died in an accident. She wasn't very
happy about it because she left all her family back in Elwingil , but by
now she has no problem with the fact that she's only able to visit her
family when she has to go to her hometown.
Kazen:
Age: 3
Kazen is Liah's son, he has short blue hair, and although he is 3 he
doesn't talk, Ayla usually takes care of him, because he is one of the
smallest children in Kayless and his mother is always busy in the kitchen.
Laih:
Age: 20
Liah has very short red hair held in place by a green bandana, she
is very tall and has a athlethic build. She came to Kayless 2 years ago
with her son Kazen, she is very skilled in hand to hand fighting and is
an expert cook. Laih is in charge of the kitchen and must always see that
Lina, Gourry and Ayla don't eat all the winter supplies. Laih doesn't talk
a lot a bout her past, except that her husband was killed by the Mazoku.
She feels very uncomfortable around Xellos and doesn't trust him an inch,
when he's around, Laih usually disappears.
Lucas:
Age: 19
Lucas has long brown hair and brown eyes, he is in charge of connecting
and supplying all the cities around Kayless. He knows most of the tunnels
and can also orientated himself on the ground, he also is in charge of
keeping all the cities informed. He works together with Krishak and Kaery.
Lufia:
Age: 41
Lufia has shoulder-length pink hair and green eyes. She is married
to Stan and they have 2 children together. They arrived in Kayless 10 years
ago, before any of the children was born. Lufia helps Liah in the kitchen,
after all, it is no easy to cook for at least 80 persons, taking into account
the 70 Kayless residents and all the travelers that stop by for a meal.
It is even more difficult, taking into account that the waitress is always
trying to snatch some food.
Lydia:
Age: 14
Lydia has long curly black hair and yellow eyes. She talks non
stop and is hyper-active. She was found as a baby in one of the villages
at the east that were destroyed. She is skilled in White Magic but doesn't
like to use it because she thinks that Black Magic is more fun. Her idol
is Lina and she always is trying to imitate her which causes several
damages to the city when she looses control of her magic...
Maleas:
Age: 9
Maleas has short black hair with a red tint and black eyes. He is a
normal boy and has never experienced any of the cruel aspects of war because
he has never left Kayless.
Martina Joanna Navratilova:
Age: 23
Martina is a young woman with green hair and green eyes. She lives
together with her husband Zangulus and her 2 year old daughter. She and
her husbands are the ones who lead the rebels in Elwingil by the mountains,.
From time to time she has to go to Kayless to report their situation to
the Cephied Knight.
Tina Navratilova:
Age: 2
She is a little girl with shoulder-length green hair, green eyes, and
a very curious nature...
Sylpheel Nels Raada:
Age: 24
Sylpheel has short dark hair to keep it from interfering with her work
at the infirmary. Sylpheel's parents live in Amest, a city far to the east.
Sylpheel had been visiting some relatives in Mastia when it was attacked
by trolls. Sylpheel and her aunt were brought to Kayless so they could
be healed, but for her aunt it was already too late. Sylpheel was 10 years
old at the time. The Mazoku made it impossible to cross half the continent
in order to get her to her parents, so she stayed at Kayless and learned
white magic from Nagise, the man who was in charge of the infirmary at
the time, and who also became her guardian.
Stan:
Age: 46
Stan has short black hair and equally black eyes. Stan is a smith
and with Gourry's help is in charge of the weapons produced in Kayless.
He depends from the minerals produced in Elwingil to work.
Amelia Will Tesla:
Age: 18
Amelia has long black hair and blue eyes. She and her sister Gracia
would have been princesses of the kingdom of Sailoon, had there been any
kingdom to rule. Her parents were killed by the Mazoku when she was 8,
and she was partly raised by her sister. She showed an early aptitude for
white magic, but preferred to concentrate on defensive and attack magic.
Amelia and her sister lived from their profits as merchants and sometimes
smugglers. The early death of her parents and her way of life caused her
to develop a short temper and a great hate against Mazoku.
Gracia Will Tesla:
Age: 23
Gracia has long black hair which she usually braids and let's it fall
over her shoulder. She raised her little sister and taught her all the
magic that had been kept in secret by her family for generations. She has
a kind nature and is normally very patient, but she will not hesitate to
do anything to protect those she cares about, even at the cost of her own
life.
Zangulus:
Age: ~30
He has long curly brown hair and dark eyes. He has been working for
the resistance for about 10 years after his village was destroyed. Five
years later he met Martina in Atlantis.
...and the Ryozoku:
Ceph:
Age: unknown
There's not much known about him. He has short blue hair and ice-blue
eyes. He's seen from time to time around Luna and she's also the only on
one from who it is known that to have ever talked to him. No one really
knows who he is or where he comes from
Filia:
Age: 530
Filia has long blond hair which she wears in a ponytail and has blue
eyes. She is the priestess of Brizabad and works as teacher in Kayless
together with her husband Xeres. She belongs to Golden Dragon race and
has lived all her live in cities that belonged to the resistance as most
of the dragons which are hunted down by the Mazoku. With the 'namagomi'
as she calls Xellos she has a good friendship since she has grown up around
him, eventhough she sometimes looses her temper with him which causes her
tail to plopp out from under her dress.
Krishak:
Age: 950
Krishak is a Water Dragon and looks like a 35 years old human male,
he has light blue hair and pale skin. Krishak was born shortly after the
II Mazoku War and survived by becoming a smuggler, along with Lucas and
Kaery, he is in charge of keeping Kayless and the neighboring cities supplied
with all the goods they need. He came to Kayless 15 years ago and has no
plans of leaving anytime soon.
Tires:
Age: 373
Tires is one of the few Fire Dragons alive. Like most of the Fire Dragons
he has short fire-like hair and has ruby-red eyes like Lina. Most of his
race has been killed one by one by the Mazoku therefore he easily
loses his temper when Xellos is around, but doesn't attack him since the
Mazoku is friends with Luna. Tires had lived near Zephira until he moved
to the rebel city at the sea, Atlantis, where he met Eris. Three years
after meeting her he moved to Kayless where both live together. Now he
works together with Rosten at the administration of Kayless.
Xeres:
Age: 546
Xeres has short green hair and green eyes. He is one of the few remaining
Golden Dragons, he is priest of Brizabad and is married to Filia. Together
with his wife, he has helped to raise and teach most of the children in
Kayless. Xeres has known Filia since they were children (Dragon Standard)
and as her has always been involved in the rebellion.
Rosten:
Age: 313
Rosten is a Wind Dragon, he has long brown hair and blue eyes.
Rostens family was killed like most Dragon families by the Mazoku. He dislikes
Xellos a lot and would like to beat the hell out of him, but he cares a
lot for his fellow rebels and deep inside he has a good heart, although
he doesn't ever show his emotions. Rosten helps with the administration
of Kayless together with Tires and Luna.
Alas:
Age: 1138
She has long light-brown hair and her eyes are the same color, she
has one mark on each cheek. Alas is the last female Ancient Dragon alive
and has looks like a 20 year old woman and has never been seen in her truly
dragon form. Alas has a fosterson named Yalemar who she found during a
journey to one of the near cities. She is seems to be always happy and
helps where she can, although she has a lot of work in the garden of Kayless.
Yalemar:
Age: ~20(human) => 5
He is a mysterious little child like Edele. He has dark shoulder-length
green hair and ice-blue eyes. He is Alas fosterson who was the one who
found him 10 years ago. She also was the one who told him that according
to his weight and how slow he grows he had to belong to one of the many
dragon races. He has never changed into his true dragon form therefore
no one has been able to tell to which race he belongs, but Luna think that
he might belong to the Wind Dragons. He doesn’t talk at all and sees
Alas as his mother because he can't remember his own parents.
The high-ranked Mazoku:
Lei Magnus Shabranigdu:
Age: unknown
He was awaken 5 years before the second Mazoku War. Lei was Xellas
Metalliums lover before Phibrizio awakened Shabranigdu inside him. When
Lei became Shabranigdu he lost all the knowledge of his former live, even
his memories of his beloved Xellas.
Knight of Shabranigdu:
Age: unknown
Nothing is known about this character besides that it is extremely
powerful and that it is the Mazoku counterpart of the Cephied Knight. It
usually stays in the shadows. And only Shabaranigdu and the Dark Lords
ever see it.
Phibrizio, the Hellmaster:
Age: unknown
Phibrizio may looks like a little boy but he's the oldest of the Dark
Lords and the most powerful under Shabranigdu. He has a rather good relation
with his younger sister Xellas, this cannot be said about his relation
with the other Dark Lords. He lives at the Desert of Destruction which
got it's name from the time Phibrizio's general was killed and he was really
pissed off.
He was the one who released his Lord from his prison inside Lei Magnus.
When he released his lord he hoped that he would be rewarded by him, but
that wasn't the case...
Kaana:
Age: 735
She looks like a 19 year old woman with long black hair that touches
the ground and is so black it has no shine, she has dark blue eyes. She
is Phibrizio's general and priestess. Agaroth has spread a tale about them
being lovers, but no one has dared to confirm it. Kaana is the strongest
of the Mazoku generals and priest for she is both, like Xellos, but she
is stronger than him because Phibrizio is more powerful than the Beastmaster.
Chaos Dragon Garv:
Age: (once more) unknown
Garv has a mane of long red hair and is heavily built. His layer is
in the south but he is hardly ever there, so it is his priest and general,
Valgarv and Mia that live there. Garv is madly in love with Dalphin, but
she hardly ever pays any attention to him, if it is not to ask some favor.
Valgarv:
Age: 1005
Originally he's an Ancient Dragon but he joined the Mazoku army during
the II Mazoku War and became Garv's priest. He hates all the dragons for
letting the Golden Dragons exterminate his entire race, but most of all
he hates the Golden Dragons themselves.
Mia:
Age: 102
Mia looks like a girl about 12 years, she has long blond hair and blue
eyes and is disgustingly cute. She has been Garv's general for 102 years,
since Sherra killed, Lefia, her predecessor because she was too annoying.
Garv doesn't believe in recycling so he got himself Mia, who to Sherra's
dismay is even more annoying and has taken possessive attitudes towards
all the male generals and priests, especially towards Xellos and Valgarv...
Dynast Grausherra:
Age: unknown (Am I a recorder or what?? -_-)
Dynast looks in his human form like a 15 year old boy with short spiky
black hair and usually wears black pants and a white shirt with a cape
over it. No human has ever seen him in his beast form, therefore there
is no description to how he looks in it. He doesn't have a good relation
to the other Dark Lords. He lives at the North Pole.
Sherra:
Age: 750
Sherra is Dynast blue haired General who looks around 18 years of age.
She usually wears her hair in a pigtail. She has green eye and..... blablablabla...
you guys should know her.
Kolary:
Age: 910
She is one heck of a weird woman. Kolary is Dynast's priestess eventought
she formally was just one of his minions, but after the death of Dynast’s
priest she took his place. Ohe has long red hair and yellow cat-like eyes.
She's always making strange experiments with lesser Mazoku since she can
get the high-ranked ones to let her do some experimenting with them. She
is always smiling, but when she gets angry the best thing to do is run
and even that should be done very fast...
She's like a mad scientist who likes to invent all sort of poisons
for the people around her to try (^_^). Nobody, not even her fellow Mazoku
ever dared to go into her room, who knows what she might have in there...
Deep Sea Dalphin:
Age: You don't ask a women's age when they afford mentioned woman is
more then 2000 years old and is way more powerful than you...
Dalphin has long light green hair she sometimes decorates with seashells,
unlike common believe, she doesn't actually live 'in' the ocean but on
an island in the middle of the ocean to the west. She ignores Garv's attempts
to seduce her and is not very friendly to her fellow Dark Lords altogether,
although she does respect Lei Magnus Shabranigdu.
Genvan:
Age: 574
Genvan is Deep Sea Dalphin's priest. He's very calm even though he
sometimes behaves like a little boy who's having fun. He has short spiky
gray-brown hair and red eyes. He doesn’t like Mia very much but if he has
to get along with her he accepts it, unlike others... Even though he's
a priest he likes to use a sword or an axe as a weapon, although he prefers
his sword.
Agaroth:
Age: 1009
Agaroth looks a lot like Xellos, only his hair is dark blue and a lot
longer and his eyes are pale blue. He died during the II Mazoku War, but
was resurrected by his mistress Dalphin. He loves gossips and loves to
spread them, as a result he is always informed about everything and when
someone wants to find out something, he's the Mazoku to ask. His favorite
sentence is :"That's no secret, sit down I'll tell you all about it!"
Needless to say he doesn't get along to well with Xellos.
Xellas Metallium, the Beastmaster:
Age: You don't ask a women's age when they afford mentioned woman is
more then 2000 years old and is way more powerful than you...
Xellas has blond hair and tanned skin, with purple eyes like Xellos',
she lives in Wolf-Pack Island and hardly ever leaves there, she is known
to drink and smoke, but this are just side-effects of her broken heart
caused by Lei forgetting her. She sees Xellos as her child and has a maternal,
yet mocking attitude towards him.
Xellas Metallium is a friend of the Knight of Cephied and encourages
Xellos to help with the resistance, she hardly ever gets involved herself,
it would be too risky both for her and for the resistance, for her actions
are very likely to be noticed.
Xellos Metallium:
Age: 1028
Xellos has shoulderlenght purple hair and amethyst eyes. He lives in
Wolf-Pack Island with his mistress/mother. He and Luna Inverse are
best friends and he likes to tease her by calling her 'sis'. Xellos is
known as the trickster priest and is not only the Beastmaster's priest
but also her general, therefore he's one of the most powerful Mazoku under
the Dark Lords eventhough his power cannot be compared to Phibrizio's general
& priestess. He usually walks around with his eyes closed and a staff
in his hand. His favorite sentence is: "That's a secret!" and he wiggles
his finger to it. Lina sometimes wants to kill him for doing that.... want
