On Logan St.Clair's Earth Maximillain Arturo created sliding. Logan worked with him on the project until she murdered him for threatening to go public with Prototronics plans, the raiding of parallel worlds for their natural resources.
This timer had generally the same abilities as Quinns timer, before its
program was corrupted, with a few exceptions.
The problems with the timer included the burning of objects in the wormhole caused by incorrect re-entry portal coordinates and their random return caused by a problem with the gyro in the geographic spectrum stabilizer.
One unique function of the timer is the ability to track the path of a wormhole or more accurately the objects traveling through it. Logan developed an eight dimensional echoing process that resonates whenever a photon trail is created between dimensions.
