"Goddammit!" the captain cursed, "what the Hell is going on here?". "We are under attack, sir.." an ensign answered. "I know that smart-ass, but why aren't we firing back?" Castle said irritated. "Commander El Radi, lock onto their weapons..." "Target locked, sir.." the tall Arab replied. With his eyes looking at the enemy craft displayed on the viewscreen captain Castle stood up and with a deep voice he commanded "Fire....blow the bastards out of the sky...". "With pleasure..." the Arab said under his breath and fired whatever he could fire... "Weapons destroyed sir, direct hit..." he said with joy. Castle however didn't show much joy... "Target their engines and fire....". Commander El Radi did as he was commanded. "Direct hit again, sir..." "Don't they have any shields or something?" Richards said. "I dunno but I'm not complaining..." Castle said to his first officer. He turned to the Communications Station. "Lieutenant Giles, hail them..."Aye aye sir" she answered. "On screen" ..
As the commander of the enemy vessel appeared on the screen Castle stood up and took his most threatening pose... All psychological warfare, he knew.. "This is captain Robert E. Castle of the U.S.S. DeRuyter, indentify yourself..." he commanded. "I am Gul Kalet of the DiNara. It seems you have damaged a few of my systems, captain.". The Cardassian commander had a smirk on his face Castle didn't like, on second thought, he didn't like Cardassians in general. "I damaged a few and can damage a few more... Surrender your ship and prepare to be boarded or be destroyed...". "Oh," the Cardassian replied. "strong words from a Starfleet captain...I never thought you could be so though..." "Ok, that does it.... Mr El Radi, target their life support unit...". "Ha ha...you wouldn't, " the Gul said, "you Federationalists are too kind for this....you don't have the balls to use one of your sayings." "Really?" Castle said with a grin. "Mr El Radi, fire torpedoes..." "Sir?" he said. "Do it!" Castle said giving El Radi a mean look. "Aye sir....direct hit...life support disabled..". Castle nodded and looked at the view screen... "Well Gul?" he said. "This..this is pure cruelty! You can't let us die like this!" the Cardassian answered. "Then surrender....it's very simple Gul..." Castle said at a patronizing tone.
