Family:Chandra Landin and Iodas Landin, of the Eighth house of Betazed.
Background:Landin was born into a family of goodstanding in the betazed homeworld, Sela Landin was expected to carry out the traditions and responsibilites that come of being a daughter of one of the ruling
houses of betazed. Her parents hoped that she would one day marry a man of standing on the Betazed homeworld and beocme an important memeber of the community. At the age of three, she was genetically bonded to Garth Randos, of the fourth house of Betazed. This marriage never came about, as Garth rebelled against his parents wishes and joined Starfleet. Sela subsequently entered The University of Betazed to study psychology to help her in her societal roles on the plannet. It was attending an official function at the Federation Embassy on Betazed, that opened Sela's mind to the possibility of experiencing philosphies much different to that of her home world. After completeing her studies at the university, she took a bold step,and and rebeeled against the steep traditions of her home world, and joined starfleet acadamy. Her primary interests were psychology and councelling. After graduating from the Acadamy, she spent a year at Starfleet Medical headquarters, where her
superior, Lt.-Cmdr. Camron Harrison, found her to be a very open and caring person. he felt she had the "right stuff" to make it as a psychologist in Starfleet, able to grasp very alien minds and understand their cultures without judgment. She then transfered to the U.S.S. Yamoto, and is there at present, until new posting.
Hobbies: Parisses Squares, partcicipating  in holodeck games,especially acting out stories from an Earth novelist
Agatha Christie (an interst gained from Camron harrison!) reading and socializing.
