Description Background
The Reaper is only seen as a hooded, cloaked figure. No feet or legs can be seen beneath the hem of the pitch black robes, and the hood completely obscures any facial features. Two skeletal hands grip a razor-sharp scythe that has been seen to rend mithril plate armor as easily as slicing through wet paper. The Reaper never speaks and shows no emotion. It is a tireless hunter, and once a target is chosen it will never give up the hunt. It can fade to invisibility, revealing itself only when its victim's final moment is at hand. Often referred to as Death or the Grim Reaper due to its resemblance to the mythical Spectre of Death. While the Reaper may not be the manifestation of Death itself, it is a perfect killing machine, showing no remorse or pleasure while its blade claims another victim. It kills simply because it NEEDS to kill. The Reaper is the right hand of the Dagda Mor. Its history and origin are even more of a mystery than that of the Dagda Mor. Historians have not even made an educated guess, but it has spawned countless superstitions due to its resemblance to many races' percieved images of Death. It is the subject of many tales told to frighten children, and not a few shudders and nervous glances over shoulders come from hardened adventurers when told of a spectral figure glimpsed in a misty wood. It is rumored that it serves the Dagda Mor out of whim, as the Dagda Mor provides regular targets for its insatiable desire for killing. It is also whispered that the Dagda Mor himself fears having the Reaper around for too long, and regularly dispatches it to slay various targets just to keep it as far away as possible.
