Burliber is an aging Human, with greying black hair, blue eyes, and a bit of a paunch at his midsection. He still radiates an aura of quiet competence and thinly veiled menace, despite his age. His thickly muscled arms and chest are criscrossed with a patchwork of scars and a crude eyepatch covers his left eye. He normally dresses in simple leggings and tunic, with a stained white apron. His demeanor usually comes across as gruff and nasty, especially to those he doesn't trust. He can, however, be quite jovial and uproariously funny in the company of trusted companions. Has a soft spot for true-hearted adventurers, and will not hesitate to offer advice or information. |
Burliber was once a great knight in the service of the Lord Regent of Azeroth when Lord Lothar was still a squire. He was decorated for valor in several campaigns against the Horde, and was personally responsible for slaying
a marauding red dragon. This battle left him severely maimed, and the dying dragon's last malicious act was to throw its flaming body onto the home of one of Azeroth's highest-ranking nobles, killing him and his entire family. A chancellor who was jealous of Burliber's notoriety arranged for his dishonorable discharge from the military. Burliber exiled himself from Azeroth in shame before he could be exonerated and restored to honor. Settling in Khaz Modan, he keeps tabs on Horde movements and quietly feeds information back to Azeroth through an elaborate spy network. Lord Lothar has no idea who the mysterious informant is that keeps him so well aware of possible Horde attacks, and has made several investigations into the matter. |
