Kerrin dresses in the sky blue and silver livery of the House of Elessidil and wears a silver cape with an intricately braided clasp that signifies his position. He approaches his position with the utmost dedication, as he and Ander Elessidil were raised together. Kerrin is a friend and confidant to Ander, but isn't confident enough in the young king's abilities to let him out of his sight for too long. Kerrin tends to be suspicious and
paranoid of any unfamiliar people who stray too close to his king, and can be downright nasty to those he doesn't trust. He is pleasant enough in the company
of trusted companions, however. |
Being named Captain of the Home Guard was the realization of Kerrin's every hope and dream and the culmination of an exceptional military career. Kerrin's family had long served with distinction in the defense of Arborlon, but his appointment to the Home Guard and later as Captain exceeded even that of his illustrious forefathers. Kerrin enlisted in the Army of Arborlon as a pikeman and was promptly sent to the frontier, where roving groups of Troll Nation warriors were known to probe the Elven border, searching for weaknesses. Several skirmishes with the Trolls allowed him the chance to prove his combat skills, and these skills gained him the attention of General Pindanon, who promoted him to Captain of his company and took him under his private tutelage. With Pindanon's guidance, Kerrin's leadership skills grew along with his fighting abilities, and this combination allowed him to be named to the Home Guard. His final step in his career came when a group of Gnome assassins infiltrated the Elessisdil palace and attempted to end the life of King Elessidil. Kerrin happened to be on duty that night and personally dispatched every would-be attacker without so much as disturbing the King's slumber. His valorous actions elevated him to hero status in the eyes of the people of Arborlon, and the eternal gratitude of the Elessidil family. |
