There are few creatures who can gaze upon Draconus and not feel intimidated by his presence. His stout, massively muscled frame exudes power. The constant scowl and gruff voice let all around him know that he is not to be trifled with. His skin is naturally tan but is darkened all the more by the dust and grime that he seems oblivious to. The brow beneath his bald head is constantly furrowed in a state of rage. However, he is quite proud of his drooping moustache and it is the only physical feature that he takes care of. Draconus' personality is akin to a raging bear. He takes no slack from anyone and will raise his mighty axe with little provocation. This violent temperament and his questionable past have given him a fearful reputation that he uses to intimidate his enemies (and friends) with great skill. |
Draconus was a faithful member of the Nin army during the Great War. He amazed his fellow comrades by his ferocity in battle. However, he was always passed up for promotions due to his extraordinarily violent behavior. After challenging and intimidating his superior officer over a bad command the officer had given, Draconus was reassigned to a "special" mercenary unit. Unknown to Draconus, this unit was sent on a suicide mission. In the heat of battle, as his comrades fell around him, he realized his betrayal. This only fueled his anger all the more until he became a whirlwind of death. He miraculously survived and, due to his natural regeneration, seemed hardly wounded. Since his commanding officer didn't want to take the blame for this suicide mission, he started a rumor that Draconus had ambushed his fellow warriors and killed them all. Even though there wasn't enough evidence to support this claim, Draconus was banished from the Nin armed forces. Draconus vowed his revenge and within two weeks, his former officer was found mutilated in his tent. Draconus spent the next 15 years moving from one mercenary band to the next, increasing his notoriety as a bloodthirsty berserker who would stop at nothing to reach his prey. |
