Corbin struggles valiantly to emmulate the heros he has read about in legends. He strives to uphold the virtues heros possess: honor, generosity and chivalry. However, sometimes his desire for glory overpowers these higher virtues leading him to take foolish risks when he believes they will bring him glory.
Corbin is fit and lean with virtually no fat. Despite his slender frame and age of 40 years, his speed and agility are nearly unmatched, thus rendering him the nickname Quickblade. His jet black hair hangs long and unkempt around his boyish face. When in combat he pulls his hair into a ponytail.
Corbin enters battle donning armor composed of magical coral that covers him from head to toe. But off the battlefield Corbin wears simple, lightweight travelers' clothes. When not adventuring, Corbin dresses in simple, lightweight travelers' clothes with just a touch of elegance--just in case he should partake in any impromptu glory quests. |
Corbin hails from Tritus, an underwater city that suffered from a tenuous alliance with the surface world. This arrangement meant very few travelers--or stories--found Corbin. But when stories did reach his ears, they usually had been exaggerated. Corbin dreamed of performing similar deeds and spent much of his time training in the use of the sword and studying military tactics.
At 18, when all of his Sea Titan abilities manifested, he left Tritus to explore the mysterious, yet alluring surface world. He expected to find dragons to vanquish at each cave and maidens to rescue in every castle. However, he soon realized that danger finds great heros, not the other way around. But as he had way to go before becoming a great hero, he relished every small adventure and deed of valor he could find (and a few he fabricated), hoping they would make him famous enough that people would bring more glorious quests his way.
After a couple of dangerous adventures, Corbin encountered Timus the centaur. Timus agreed to train and mold him into the legendary hero he aspires to become. Corbin learned all Timus' ways, then ventured into the uncharted seas with a band of hearty companions in search of fame and fortune. |
