Aranya keeps to herself and rarely speaks to others. She finds contact with others distasteful and doesn't know how to act. She leads her clans mostly through the efforts of several trusted vampire servants. However, she is joyful and bubbly when alone with her animal friends in the forest. She will spend many nights using her vampire speed and endurance to run with packs of wolves and other ferocious beasts.
Aranya dresses in simple elven huntress garb consisting of mostly light greens and browns. Her thigh high leather boots and elbow length leather gloves usually show signs of wear due to the strenuous use they get. |
As a child, Aranya loved to play in the forest every waking hour. She shunned playing with other elf kids in order to spend time with her animal friends. She was ridiculed by her peers but she didn't mind as long as she could spend time with the animals. Unfortunately, a human hunting party chanced upon her and the animals and took advantage of their lack of attention to kill all the animals. Determined to exact revenge, she tracked the hunters and attempted to kill them. Unfortunately, they were too strong for the slender elven girl and was terribly wounded and left to die. Aranya was traumatized by these events and slipped into a bout of deep depression. She had consigned herself to die when a strange elven woman by the name of Raitha Treeskin found her and offered her the chance to heal her wounds and more importantly, revenge upon the hunters. Aranya eagerly agreed and allowed the master vampire to change her. After regaining her strength and mastering her newfound abilities, Aranya tracked down the hunters and slaughtered them. Since then, she has roamed the forest, gathering up animals and other stragglers to add to her vampire clan, the Nighthawks. Over her several hundred year lifespan, she has regained a fragile sense of sanity but can be tipped into a mindless frenzy if her animals are harmed. |
