Well, I figured it was about time to live up to my name and fulfill my duty as a Bard. So here we go!

New! Look for updates! I know I haven't updated this in a VERY long time, so here goes!

Here are some of my favorite singers, songwriters, and bands:

Heather Alexander
is my all time favorite musician. She writes great music, has a beautiful voice, and can also play a million instruments. (Well, maybe not quite that many, but you get the idea.) Wanderlust and Life's Flame are, in my opinion, the best of her music- both the albums and the songs themselves.

Tom Smith
is a widely known filksinger who's music is ..... rather filkish. I suppose you'll just have to hear him to understand. He gets a little disgusting sometimes, but he's got some great stuff.

Leslie Fish
is next. I guess she would have to be one of the longest singers of filk out there. I think she was singing filk before it was even called filk! She writes great songs - a lot of pagan, protest, and space stuff.

Kathy Mar
is another filker I like. I haven't heard all of her stuff, but Velveteen is very good. Also, read about The Dandelion Conspiracy. For those of you who don't know, it's something Kathy Mar wrote about filking.

Tempest
is my favorite band, and now I'm really excited because I just found their web site! lalalala happy me. Anyway, back to tempest. They do a lot of traditional stuff, but they set it on fire. They also have a lot of their own music. Just imagine a band with a lead singer who has a norwiegon accent, add an electric fiddle and a couple of intruments I can't spell, plus your usual electric guitars and trap set, and you'll get Tempest!
Need I say more?

Need I say more? I thought not!

RENT

Well, RENT is just plain awesome. If you don't agree with me, well, I think there may be something seriously wrong with your hearing. I suggest you check it out!!!
