<Dragon Games

Dragons love to play games, especially ones where they can laugh at humans!!! Admittedly, there are also a few Monacoinians who are the same way! Here are some of the games they like most.

Look at the Humans!!!

This game consists of Dragons (or Monaconians) watching humans and trying to figure out what they are doing and why. Some of the Humans' customs are pretty strange. The Dragons still haven't figured out why they ride around in metal boxes. After all, flying is much more interesting and fun!

Dragon Ball

This is a highly complicated sport, because not only must the rules be taught and players be found, but the dragons must also convince the humans to play it. It involves young men wearing plaid or striped kilts running around on an octagonal field. The players must also carry a twenty pound weight on their shoulders throughout the game. The object of the game is to get the ball into the net. The Dragons, however, have put a few twists into this game!

As with any sport, the National Anthem is played before the game begins. However, for this particular game, it must be played on the bagpipes. Also, any time the players make a goal, the alpine horns are blown.

Next, the field is flooded. In order to steal the ball, a player must slide in the mud, grab the ball carrier by the ankles, and pull him into the mud before grabbing the ball. Face first is worth an extra half point. In order to make a goal, players must grasp the ball between their feet, put their hands to the ground, and do a handstand. When their feet are up in the air, they throw it into the net, then fall down the other way, so that they have in essence done a flip. A goal is worth four and a half points. Each team consists of 77 players, or if it is a small town or school, 33 is also acceptable. Any more or less and the team is disqualified. Two coaches are also allowed. Coaches' attire is fish suits. Also, the fans throw fish down upon the coaches. (Some dragons uphold the rule that a direct hit is worth a free hotdag. It's not easy to do when you're moving around the field!) The refs wear pink and blue polk-a-dots on a neon green background. As the game is in progress, the stands move in a circle around the field, so thatthe fans may see everything. This also serves to prevent the teams from having to change sides. Their are two halves of the game, each ten minites long, with a four and a half minuite halftime.
Needless to say, the dragons usually have a hard time getting humans to play, and so generally they offer some sort of reward for playing. This often consists of the dragon promising not to eat the humans if they would agree to play.
