Bluework Ruffed Shirt

So I have finally got some pictures of the shirt to show how it appears so far. Granted, the pictures look fairly nice, but I'm still not satisfied with the how this item turned out. However, the embroidery turned out really well and I will do what I can to leave that unaffected.

The embroidery was designed by me.

I am debating how to handle the problems I see. I know I want thin out the torso, so that the shoulder gathers are removed. I'm debating if I should remove the wrist and neck ties and add button closures (or clasp closures) instead. However, I do like the versatility of the tie closures. (Added Note from May 7, 2007: This shirt does work exceptionally well with high backed bodices. Because of this, I'm not going to rush on the alterations as of yet.)
