Phalanx vs. D.S. Data

In a highly interesting game, D.S. Data showed off the power of a Q deck--and the problems inherent in using one online. Although there were a few rules problems (note the spaceline that ignores the regional rules, among other things... ;) ), it was an excellent match.

Phalanx: Great! Do you want evens or odds?
D.S. Data: evens
Phalanx: Ok, flip a coin to see who gets the first turns. Heads! ;)
D.S. Data: Coa you do that I haveb't got a coin
Phalanx: Ok, flipping...
Phalanx: Tails. You go first.
D.S. Data: Ok I seed a Q's Tent and a Alternate Universe Door
Phalanx: I have a Q's Tent.
D.S. Data: 4x Patrol Neutral Zone, Iconia Investigation and Covert Installation
D.S. Data: #1 Patrol Neutral Zone, #2, same,#3 same, #4 same, #5 Iconia Investigation, #6 Covert Installation
Phalanx: Mine are: 1) Diplomatic Conference 3) Espionage Mission, 5) Wormhole Negotiations, 7) Fissure Research, 9) Investigate "Shattered Space," 11) Study Lonka Pulsar.
Phalanx: Since you have the even missions, yours are 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12.
D.S. Data: Are you still there?
Phalanx: Did you not see my missions?
Phalanx: Now, your dilemmas. 3@1 would mean that you are putting 3 dilemmas at Diplomatic Conference, for example.
D.S. Data: 3@1
Phalanx: During fast seeding, you put them all out at once.
D.S. Data: 3@2
D.S. Data: 2@3
D.S. Data: 3@4
D.S. Data: 3@5
D.S. Data: 3@6
D.S. Data: Oh a little mistake
Phalanx: Self-seeds come later, just the ones at my missions now.
D.S. Data: I mean 3, 5, 7, 9 11
D.S. Data: It's your turn
Phalanx: Ok, I have 3@ each of your missions. Now self-seeds. Do you have anything to put under your own missions?
D.S. Data: yes. at 1@2 and 1@4
Phalanx: Ok. I have 1@11.
D.S. Data: Ok Events Objektivs
Phalanx: Now the "rest." ;) Hidden agendas, outposts, all of that comes out now.
D.S. Data: I seed one Hidden Agenda and Assign Mission Specialist and one Federation Outpost at #2
Phalanx: Ok. I have 4 Hidden Agendas. You get the first turn, so draw 7!
D.S. Data: Ok I download to my Outpost Benjamin Maxwell and Norah Satie
Phalanx: Ok.
D.S. Data: Assign Mission Specialist!
Phalanx: Erm...not quite sure what you mean.
D.S. Data: Than I report Jean Luc- Picard to my Outost(FC Version)
D.S. Data: I take a card, It's your Turn
Phalanx: Ok. I play a Scout Vessel with the Transport Drone piloting to 12. They move to 11 and I reveal an Establish Gateway. I attempt.
Phalanx: If you still do not have a coin, I can flip for whose seeds come up first.
D.S. Data: Your seed comes first.
Phalanx: It is a Borg Ship, which destroys my Scout Vessel. I play a Q's Tent--counters?
D.S. Data: ok
Phalanx: All right then, I get a Retask out of my Q's Tent. I draw 1, your turn.
Phalanx: The Borg Ship moves to #10.
D.S. Data: I take a The Line Must be Drawn Here from my Hidden Agenda (seedet) ok
Phalanx: Ok.
D.S. Data: I play an Red Alert!
Phalanx: Ok.
D.S. Data: I take a card. It's your turn.
Phalanx: I play my Retask on the Borg Ship, now at #9. Counters?
D.S. Data: ok!
Phalanx: I then flip over another Hidden Agenda--Mirror Image--which copies your Red Alert! I play another Astrogation Drone from my hand.
D.S. Data: ok!
D.S. Data: What is your next step
Phalanx: BRB--one moment---minor problem on my end.
D.S. Data: Whick kind off problem
Phalanx: Sorry about that. I move to #7 Fissure Research. I draw no cards, your turn.
D.S. Data: So I report to my Outpost:Geordy LaForge(FC), Worf (FC), Paul Porter, Reginald Barclay (FC), Spock, Tasha Yar, Alternate
(At this point I momentarily failed to transcript. D.S. Data deployed the U.S.S. Enterprise-E.)
D.S. Data: (Wow what a luck) I attampt 2, please flip a coin which seedet comes first
152.173.225.45: Phalanx: Mine.
D.S. Data: Ok start
Phalanx: First up is Yuta--I will choose 11. Who gets it? ;)
Phalanx: This is the problem with online AMS/Q. ;
D.S. Data: And the USS Enterprise E
D.S. Data: Ben Maxwell and Jean Luc
D.S. Data: Ben came first he is Dead
Phalanx: Woah, woah, it's just one of them. Random selection between all those with a Yuta # of 11.
D.S. Data: The next please
Phalanx: Ok, good. Next is Borg Servo--who's next? ;)
D.S. Data: Barclay
Phalanx: Ok, I have added a hero-worshipper to the collective. ;) Last is Primitive Culture. Do you still have the skills to beat it
D.S. Data: No but Primitive Culture is Planat and I'm at a Space Mission the Dilemma is Discarted
Phalanx: Erk! Darn it, I hate when I get mixed up as to what is where...Ok, you are correct. You now encounter your seed.
D.S. Data: a Q Wait I must count
D.S. Data: 56 I'm stoppt. I take a card, your turn
Phalanx: I'll leave the spaceline the way it is.
Phalanx: Ok, I play a Q's Tent. Counters?
D.S. Data: No
Phalanx: Ok, then I get my Borg Queen and report her to the Cube.
D.S. Data: ok
Phalanx: Now I will move to Wormhole Negotiations (#5). I use the Queen's skill to download A Change Of Plans, and switch to Establish Gateway there. I then attempt. The Queen's skill...
Phalanx: ...is Empathy. Your first dilemma?
D.S. Data: Scout Encounter, I download Scout Ship (Romulan) and Galathon, Tallus.
Phalanx: I think I see where this is going. ;) Next dilemma?
D.S. Data: ok?
Phalanx: Next dilemma?
D.S. Data: Quantum Singulary Lifeforms
Phalanx: Ok, everybody is in stasis. That shuts down this attempt. I cannot draw, your turn.
D.S. Data: I report Deanna Troi to my Outpost. My crew is unstoppt.
D.S. Data: I use Norah Satie to complete PNZ.
Phalanx: They were unstopped anyway. ;)
Phalanx: Ok, that is 60-0 in your favor.
D.S. Data: My score is 65
Phalanx: I flip over a Mission Debriefing (HA). Your crew is stopped.
Phalanx: Right, AMS, sorry
D.S. Data: Oh I'm not stoppt because I use Deanna Troi to unstopp the Away Team:-)
Phalanx: Ok, anything additional?
D.S. Data: I beam all on the USS Enterprise -E and move to 4 Patrol Neutral Zone.
Phalanx: You attempt there, I presume? Do you want to flip for first seeds?
D.S. Data: I attampt Mission
D.S. Data: No you can flip the coin
Phalanx: Yours first. I am guessing that you win the game. ;)
D.S. Data: Thanks, a Q. I have two Leadership AND Intergity 64. All Dilemmas are discardet.
Phalanx: That's the game, then. Good show!
