The journey to Freiburg passes pleasantly enough. Everyone has time to recover from his or her recent travails. During the week and one half extent of the journey, everyone gets a chance to try their hand at being a sailor, whether they want to or not. No one really 'forces' any of you to work, but if anyone is known to be slacking, he or she is taunted good-naturedly though incessantly until the work is continued. Anyone who 'puts their back into it' will little or no complaining gains the respect of the crew and is treated with a great deal of camaraderie and respect.

Liah and William are well respected to begin with as they once served in the Queen's navy as Sea Dogs.
