In the late 1800's, Connor was once again at Duncan's side, helping his kinsman cope with the brutal murder of his adopted Sioux family.

Duncan: "Without Connor, I would have gone completely mad when Little Deer was killed.  While I might pick on him in jest, Connor is one of my closest and dearest friends.  He truly is my brother."

During World War II, Connor rescued a young girl from her war-torn home.  He raised her like his own daughter, at last fulfilling his long-standing desire for parenthood.

As an adult, Rachel worked as an assistant at the antique shop Connor opened on Hudson Street.  Connor lived in the loft apartment above the store.  Connor's life was pretty quiet -- albeit lonely, though he'd never admit it -- until...

Connor faced off with Fasil in the parking garage at Madison Square Garden.  He was brought in for questioning, but not charged.  Still, that did not end his problems in 1985.
