What can I say, other than this game blows. But it's on the Game
Boy. Hey, if I can bring Final Fantasy with me ANYWHERE, I can handle
it! But it's not Final Fantasy. In fact, it has no resemblences
to Final Fantasy at all. No battle music, no prelude, not even a
duh duh duh duh... duh... duh... duh, duh duh. But this Final Fantasy
Legend has bouncing numbers during the battle interface whenever someone
is hit, and isn't it that what has made every Final Fantasy game?
The answer... is no.
So, I ask myself, why, Josh, WHY even waste the space of a text file
to put info on this game up. Because it's Final Fantasy, and I'm
sure some of you out there bought this game THINKING you were buying Final
Fantasy, and, like me, can't find anything on the net about it. So
here I am, risking my sanity to bring you info about this irrational, cheap
marketing gimmick to lure fans into another $30.
But there where some "pluses" about this game. First of all, permament
characters! That's right, each one had a name, and a personality
(to some part). Second, the music was tolerable (except for that
town theme; that just annoyed me). Third, bouncing numbers!!!
(I can't express that enough) Fourth, and most importantly, "The
Talon". If this were a real Final Fantasy game, "The Talon" would
kick any airship's butt. I'd like to see any ship of Cid's or Setzer's
or Cid's or Cid's put up a fight against a ship that looks like a Stealth
Bomber and can travel through time. That's right, go ahead and run
into the corner. But, the Talon is NOT a Final Fantasy airship. Pity.
BTW, if any Square employee reads this, try translating FF1, 2, or 3
to the Game Boy. I'll buy it!
