G1 Skywarp

Skywarp is another Seeker, the exact same mold as Starscream and Thundercracker, a repaint of the same toy I've already bought twice, and yet I felt no hesitation in picking this character up. Why? Well, because Skywarp has a really cool paint scheme - black and purple, which really make him look like a Decepticon, moreso than Thundercracker and Starscream do. Because of the purple, his sleek, mostly black jet fighter mode looks a little unrealistic, but the colours look fantastic in robot mode. When lining up my '84 Seekers in a row, Skywarp stands out as the most powerful...although techspec-wise, it's more likely that Starscream would have that honour. Skywarp's purple/silver/black colour scheme is the most unified of the Seekers and works extremely well with the purple and silver Decepticon logos on his wings. Like Thundercracker, Skywarp displays well in his Hasbro box, although he's got new DW-style art on the cover. It's not bad but I would've preferred the original. Also, like Thundercracker, Skywarp's "Hasbro reissue missiles" are way longer but they are tolerable and even pretty cool after getting used to them. A great '84 toy and a great reissue from Hasbro.
