G1 Thundercracker

This is basically a reiteration of the Starscream review, since everything is exactly the same except for colour. Oh, and weaponry - since my Thundercracker is a Hasbro reissue, he comes with ridiculously long missiles. They're not really all that bad though, and make the robot mode look more powerful as long as you use the robot mode missiles and not the stupid-looking plane mode ones. Seeing Thundercracker as a toy was somewhat surprising - his blue is way darker than the show! I'm not sure if it's unique to this reissue, but the blue also has metallic flake in it which makes it look more realistic. The F-15 plane mode looks fantastic, as do all the Seekers, including the '85s. Robot mode is superior to Starscream's - I wouldn't say Screamer looks bad, but I do prefer Thundercracker's blue/black/silver scheme. It's darker overall and looks more evil. Which is odd for the character in a way - Thundercracker is described as being a powerful warrior not wholly convinced of the Decepticon cause. I like all my Seekers as a group, but if I had to pick one colour scheme as being my favourite, it's a toss-up between Skywarp and Thundercracker. The box is as unextrafied as anything from Series III and beyond, but somehow the jets just look better in package compared with the Autobot cars. I like DW art, but I prefer seeing the original artwork on the reissues, like we got with Thundercracker here. A great reissue from Hasbro, even with the modified missiles.
