G1 Hound

I was really surprised when I got my reissue Hound. He's probably the absolute smallest "full-size" Autobot from 1984/1985, especially in robot mode. This is a result of his transformation, which is more about folding the ends of the vehicle than extending legs and unfolding articulated arms. Does his diminutive stature make him any less cool? Definitely not!!! Hound is one of the best-looking Autobots because of his unique military deco and an abundance of accessories - he's got fuel tanks, spare tires, his hologram projector and even a machine gun!

He also has a great characterization on the TV show...that of a fearless Autobot scout. There are some really classic moments involving Hound, such as when he angers an imprisoned Ravage by making a Megatron hologram, or when a Bumblebee, almost off-line due to loss of energy, hops in Hound's backseat like a human. I'm glad Takara chose to reissue Hound and bring my 1984 Autobot collection closer to completion.
