Forge World

Three millennia ago, Riva used to be the principle Forge World for the Corribra Sector and surrounding Imperial outposts, as it had all the mineral resources in place to support its great need of material. However, the Ork invasion of the southern systems of Corribra in M38 crushed all the substantial defences and ruined many forges. The Ork fleet was finally halted in the Riva system by an Imperial Navy strike group, but the damage the aliens had already caused was immense.

Riva is still being rebuilt, with many of the forges still in advanced states of disrepair, though the Forge World is now capable of supplying most of the southern worlds of the Sector with weapons of war. The orbital defences and armed forces on the planet itself are stronger than every, as these were rebuilt first after the Orks were driven off and so the system remains as a bulwark against any further alien attack, as well as a staging post for Imperial missions that strike deep within Orkdom.
