Ork Mega Garagant with gundecks, big lobber, etc etc etc.
Scenario rules
Deployment
The two forces are placed equal distances away from the objective. The
Ordinatus and Mega Garagent are not deployed at the start of the battle
(see below). A small section of ruins are placed in the center of the battlefield.
The Orks and Imperials are seeking to capture an ancient STC component
which has been discovered in the middle of the ruins. Both sides are seeking
to capture it at any cost and are in the process of bringing the heavy
support (an Ordinatus Mars and a Mega Garagent
Victory conditions
If the Ork Boys reach the objective first they are blasted into powder
by the Ordinatus Mars!
If the Tech Guard reach the objective first they are shelled out existance
by the Mega Garagent!
The battle then ends.
Orks
VP +10 if Mega Garagent survives
VP +1 for each Boyz squad that survives
Adeptus Mechanicus
VP +10 if Ordinatus Mars survives
VP +1 for each Tech Guard squad that survives
Special rules
The Ordinatus is currently engaged in combat in a neaby battle and is unable
to provide fire. It proforms the functions of a HQ section.
The Mega Garagent has suffered damage from its last encounter with the
Nova Cannon, it is unable to move and still has not regained full use of
main weapons. It therefore is reduced to watching the battle unfold and
directing its troops.
The Mega Garagent and Ordinatus Mars may fire only once during the battle
(after one side has captured the STC) , either at the opposing troops or
the opposing mar machine. The Adeptus Mechanicus recover the STC component
after the battle because the shoddy patchup job on the Mega Garagent causes
it to catch fire and then retreat for more hasty repairs.
Author's notes
This scenario was designed as a way of having a big destructive battle
with out having to use huge forces or large tank armies. You may have noticed
after reading the rules three or four times that the main objective is
to not have your war machine blown up. The STC is just a minor matter when
it comes to massive fire fights between war machines (the imperials get it anyway).
