It's been months since the Animorphs first recieved their morphing powers from Prince Elfangor, and since that time they've fought many battles, met new creatures, and witnessed and experienced horrors no one ever should. But what if Jake, Rachel, Tobias, Marco, and Cassie had never become the Animorphs?

Jake's been offered a chance to take it all back, to never have walked through the construction site that night. To never have met Elfangor. And to never have recieved the power to morph. But there's a hitch -- without the Animorphs around there's no one opposing the Yeerks. And with the Yeerks unstopped, Earth will never be the same again....
