Well, no matter how it starts, sooner or later you end up with the desire to make things easier. Regardless of if it's selling an old stash or trying to find the price on the new ones you just purchased, This program can definately help.
The idea for this program spawned from the desire to sell my own stash of cards. Now, I didn't truely realize it until now, but I actually have a couple thousand cards. Finding the prices for all these cards individually, and within a week, is tedious, if not impossible.
So how does this help? Simple: By taking a list of all the cards I owned at the time, and flushing them through a commonly used price search engine, I was capable of obtaining the exact price of all the cards in the list.
Now, the program is not currently 100% finished, but it does more than was initially planned. But, as all data manipulation based programs, there are rules to follow, I guess...
Here we have an example of few a Magic:The Gathering cards.
Samite Sanctuary|(PR)|1
Glittering Lynx|(PR)|7
Aura Fracture|(PR)|7
The cards follow this formula:
(CardName)|(CardEdition)|(CardCount)
Currently, there is no strict requirements on the card edition, but a mapp of the editions will be provided in the download.
