Quinn is a writer. He used to write mostly short stories and the occasional opinion column for the news-sheets, but then he hit a large span of writer's block. Seeking a change of scenery to help shake it off, he moved to System Resonate and almost immediately ran into DaVinci and the Aught Siblings and became inextricably tied into their lives. He also met the virus Lean Il Lupe, who tormented the entire group in his attempts to conquer the Metaverse.
After one of these attempts, Quinn's writer's block was shattered and he began to write a novel, Game Over, which began to sell well. But then Il Lupe attacked again and had Quinn kidnapped and tortured, leading to Quinn being crippled. His crippling led to a long spell during which Quinn was bitter and angry at the world -- which showed in his new syndicated news-sheet column, Brutally Honest.
Quinn wrote a sequel to Game Over, called The Dumont Treatment, which sold well enough to prompt the holofilm industry to decide to make a holo of the first novel, to be directed by the popular action director Martin O'Brien. About this same time, Quinn bumped into the religious anti-nonhuman group called the True Force, which prompted him to begin to write columns against racism in general.
Currently, Quinn is hard at work trying to keep the holofilm of Game Over going, since an attack on the filming by the True Force wrecked the set and cost a great deal of money. He's also very attached to Niente Aught, who has shown feelings for him.
