The sprite known only as the Commander is a mystery.  He is a loyal Infectee of the virus Michel Angelo and commands the Elite Forces of Angelo's warship, the SS Mitnick.  He is a lean and incredibly quick sprite whose aim is deadly and accurate.  He wears a sable uniform with red trim and a red beret on his dark hair.  His skin is dusky gray and his eyes are black-on-red -- both signs of his Infection.  He wears a single sidearm on his belt, but he rarely draws it.  His stern and unforgiving visage is chilling enough to keep people in line.

The Commander is seconded by a sprite called the Lieutenant, but the Lieutenant's person changes on a regular basis, since the viruses and the Commander cannot find a competent replacement for the predecessor.

Nothing is known about his past, but Angelo has hinted that he is tied somehow to the gunslinger Nil Cipher.
