DragonCon - 1998

DragonCon was my first *LARGE* convention I've ever been too... and WOW, was it fun! As you can judge from these pics, I had a complete blast! It was hot, it was tiring, but it was incredible as far as seeing that Star Wars still has a HUGE following out there. We stuck together in a group, which was most impressive. If you're glancing though these pics, and have any other good ones to add of the Troopers, please feel free to email them to me, and I will post them for you!

	1.) Here is an "off-guard" shot my buddy Mike Glover shot of me while I was scoping out the situation. I believe we were right about to escort Mr. Anthony Daniels onto the stage, as he was the Master of Ceremonies there for the DragonCon costume contest. (See more pics of that down a bit further).
	2.) A good shot of some of the people in our group as we sat down for some pizza in downtown Atlanta. Myself on the left, with Mike Glover on the right... Next to Mike sits Derek Smith, followed by Gina Biancarosa, Steve Hamedl & Shannon Wendlick. Across from Steve sits Sean Burgess, and next to me and Sean sits Steve's friend (Sorry - forgot your name!) :)
	3.) One of the many group shots we took as a group. 	4.) As we were coming from the Hyatt on way to the Marketplace, we stopped along the crowded street for a picture opportunity. From left to right, Matt Gauthier (DStar), Sean Burgess (Fett), Rel Hoida (Trooper), myself (Trooper), Steve Hamedl (Trooper), Albin Johnson (Trooper), Shannon Wendlick (Trooper), and Mike Glover (Jodo Kast)! I'd say a good couple dozen pics were snapped right here...
	5.) Same shot as the pic above, but you're now able to see Don Shaw (Fett) in a Fett suit, which was made from scratch by Albin Johnson! He's got some incredible talent!
	6.) The encore of the main Star Wars events, we escorted in Princess Leia... Jeff Allen had a little droid scurrying around on the floor with a small remote control. Quite cool! 	7.) One of the parts of the Star Wars costume judging was to talk about the costumes... Here you see (from left to right) Alan Isom (Trooper), Albin Johnson (Trooper) and myself (Trooper) talking about our suits.
	8.) One of the sweetest pics taken were some of the ones like this one. Lots of characters. 	9.) This was the very first shot I had received from DragonCon... I liked it immediately since I was in it! :) This is quite a large picture, but it's well worth it! Starting from left, Derek Smith (Xwing), Mike Glover (Kast), myself (Trooper), unknown Officer, Steve Hamedl (TiePilot), Gina Biancarosa (Boushh). That Boushh outfit was definitely one of the coolest at the 'con!
	10.) A good shot after the costume contest, as we're being videotaped for the news or something. From left, Alan Isom (Trooper), myself (Trooper), Albin Johnson (Trooper), 3 Jeff Allen guys (Troopers), and 2 unknown Troopers.

	12.) This was pretty funny... While walking by the autographing tables, a couple really nice former Playboy models wanted pics taken with me... You can see Matt Gauthier in his DStar outfit there as well. Unfortunately the flash didn't go off, and they came out dark & grainy. Ladies, if you have any good shots of these pics, could you please send them up? :) I'd appreciate it immensely!
	13.) Another shot with the former Playboy models that would have been really good if the flash hadn't gone out! <Argh!>

	16.) Here, Shannon (Trooper) - left, and I (Trooper) - right, are marching into an auditorium filled with at least 500+ screaming people to the tune of "Darth Vader's March"... Directly behind us is Anthony Daniels who is very hard to see... and in front, Matt Gauthier, since he could see in the dark... Shannon & I were BLIND as bats in that dark environment! :)
	17.) In this shot, we are starting to assemble onto the stage. I (Trooper) am on the right, next to Shannon Wendlick (Trooper)... Anthony Daniels is walking forward to the podium, Bob Bean (Vader) and Sean Burgess (Fett) would line up directly behind Anthony Daniels, as the crowd cheered us on EXTREMELY hard... I've never seen so many flashes in my life. Guess it was a good day for tinted lenses. ;)
	18.) You can see the final lineup starting to form here, with Steve Hamedl (TiePilot) next to Shannon, Gina Biancarosa (Boushh) next to Steve, Bob Bean (Vader) and Sean Burgess (Fett) are behind Anthony Daniels. There were more, but unfortunately the pic didn't show it. What a great day this was!
	19.) I managed to find this shot just recently on one of the featured websites that was linked off from the DragonCon website! Wow, what luck! Al & I were making potshots at some of the bystanders! :) Anyways, from left to right, Mike Glover (Jodo Kast), Me (Trooper), Albin Johnson (Trooper) and Don Shaw (Fett).
	20.) This picture came out of the woodwork much, much later after the official DragonCon pics were posted. This is an official pic of me (Trooper) on the right, chatting with Shannon Wendlick (Trooper), and Sean Burgess' back (Fett).
