Rolan is a huge man (six and a half feet tall with a massive build) who appears to have southern barbarian blood. He is a warrior in the service of the church of Heironeous, following the orders of Peddeshar. He wields a magical greatsword with both hands and wears a suit of chainmail armor, though it seems to slow him down little if at all. His mount is a strongly-built courser made of magical stone.

  The terms of his service to the church of Heironeous are unclear, but it is evident he does not wish to speak of his past. When he is pressed in battle he has been known to enter a murderous rage and lay waste to his enemies without regard to threat or injury. His skill with the greatsword is truly amazing.
