As Tabitha looked on, the eggs on the sands started to wobble and crack. Two of her firelizards, Zuku and Amber, were up with her parents and screeched excitedly when the first of the eggs hatched. Tabitha stood riveted and, as she watched, a mottled blue egg started to crack open. Then, out tumbled a small blue dragon.
The young hatchling looked up at Tabitha and said," My name's Triynth and I'm hungry."
Tabitha knelt down and threw her arms around the young dragon. She said, " Okay. Let's go get you some food." And with that dragon and newfound rider walked out of the Hatching Grounds, friends forever.
